My love of photography started early in life with two big influences. First was my grandmother, she was always taking photos...I mean always! She then turns those photos into huge albums and gifts them to people. I remember getting mine on my 16th birthday from her and it still is one of my most treasured gifts. She showed me the importance of capturing every moment, things you sometimes forget about until you see the photo evidence of it. The second person was someone I spent a lot of my childhood with, as she taught me how to ride on a competitive level and I worked on her farm through childhood and she was also always taking photos and she may or may not have some of my most embarrassing photos. She showed me the art in photography, how the right lighting could bring a photo to life and create a beautiful moment. I started picking up a camera very young, and in the time of film cameras where I would blow through rolls and then have to wait weeks to get my prints back, and it was pure agony. I still have some of those photos from those times, when I would capture my friends and animals. 

Fast forward through my young adult years and beginning adult years where I struggled finding my place in what I wanted to do with my life, that was until my first daughter came into this world and I started picking up a camera again. I remembered how important those little moments were and wanted to capture every little milestone. That is when I realized I could do this for a living, I started slow and taking photos of peopleI knew and eventually grew this thing into the business it is today! To be honest I never knew how far this little career would take me, it has allowed me to meet amazing people, travel all over and capture such precious and special times in people's lives, there is no other job I could imagine doing. 

So with the support of my amazing husband and my two little girls who are my constant muses I continue to grow this business and will continue to marvel at where it takes me.
